About Me

Hi, I'm Melody

I write stories for products - push notifications, in-app content (onboarding flows, forms, tooltips, success/error messages, empty states, buttons), emails, social media, blog posts, and marketing campaigns.
I’m currently the sole UX Writer & Content Writer at Reframe, where I support 3M+ users worldwide in changing their relationship with alcohol. And I'm a Certified UX Writer via UX Content Collective.
I guide users by removing all the little roadblocks they might face along their journey. I design using my words with a blend of design thinking and empathy to ensure everything feels intuitive and user-friendly.

The 4 most important things in UX writing to me are:
-
Scannability: Reducing cognitive load through short paragraphs, bulleted lists, and easily digestible content.
-
Consistency: Maintaining standard styles and content patterns, such as consistent headings, structures, word choice, and brand voice and tone.
-
Accessibility: Writing for users from diverse backgrounds, including those with varying education levels, disabilities, and cultural backgrounds.
-
Keeping the Story Moving Forward: Presenting the right content to the right user at the right time, ensuring a seamless and engaging journey.

When I’m not crafting compelling content, you’ll find me at the gym, at concerts, or at home practicing piano, singing and dancing. And I love to cook! My specialty is Asian cuisine (think Chinese, Korean, and Japanese), but I’m always trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
